The beef noodle soup here is one of the best I've tried in the city. The broth is really good on its own, but it comes with this hot mala oil that is so spicy but so good. I had it on the side and only used a tablespoon or 2 in my soup. The noodles are thick and al dente. I wish they had better utensils for the soup. I went here for a quick dinner and it was the perfect place. This is more of a fast casual place and you order up at the register, but there are an about 7 two person tables and a stools. It wasn't hard for me to find a seat to dine in. I did notice that most of the people that ordered did take-away. The person that took my order in a mask was so welcoming and nice. I was really impressed by their level of service and their dedication to keep everything tidy in the restaurant. Even just making sure chairs were pushed in. Most likely a one off, but the only thing I didn't like was how the chef came out abruptly and how they spoke to one of the staff assembling the orders. But I also didn't like how the person assembling the orders were wearing headphones. I don't know how this has become standard, but if a customer can see you, I don't think you should be wearing any headphones on the job.

Very solid spot for fast casual Taiwanese food / bentos. My favorite part is the extra side dishes that come with each rice bowl, so you get to try a lot of different food. Comes out extremely quickly. FOOD: Fried Pork Chop with Lotus Root (8/10) - Fried pork chop was fried perfectly, good seasoning, and the lotus root and rice paired very well with it. Basil Eggplant + Garlic Cucumber (7/10) - Good chunks of eggplant, nice refreshing pieces of cucumber. I'd rather get the pork chop over this but stil very solid!

So I have never been to yumpling before and all I can I say Is wow the food was so good I wanted a snack the other day for lunch and I decided to go into yumpling and it was so good. I was a bit worried cause I thought it would've been spicy cause of the home-made chili oil but I couldn't be more wrong it was so so good from the service to the food to the area it's located I love everything thing about it. Sadly I didn't really take much photos and the only photo I have is my half eaten meal of pork and chive dumplings i wanted to just dig right in im definitely going to go their again and try out the rest of the menu fyi they also do boba I'm pretty sure so imagine dumplings and a nice ice cold boba tea. If you love dumplings and everytype of Asian food I highly recommend going to yumplings it's definitely became one of my favorite places after just one day having it also the if you are ever in Vernon please go and support and check out the restaurant you won't regret it. I'm definitely curious about the half and half dumplings which I belive is half meat and half veggies I can't wait to try that.

We were in Long Island City for a Yelp boba crawl event and as luck would have it, Yumpling was one of the stops on the crawl. Lucky for me because I had always wanted to come here for their yumplings and Taiwanese popcorn chicken. Unfortunately the Yelp event only included a free side order of shoestring fries with any order. I was thinking Sam the community manager knew me so well because I needed something savory to offset all the sweet bobas and teas. We ordered the yumpling trio do we could try their pork, chicken and vegetable yumplings. It comes with a dipping sauce and I was going to get the spicy mayo but when i told the order take I wanted a spicy sauce, he suggested the basil aioli. The chicken itself had a nice kick as well, and the combo was pretty good. The yumplings were good as well and reminded me of homemade Korean mandu dumplings because the wrappers are thicker and chewier than typical Chinese dumplings. Unlike mandu, these are topped with chili crisps and scallions, which I really enjoyed. Are they worthy of being called YUMplings, which should mean they are better than other dumplings?? They are good but I think I have to say no. I am a sucker for soup dumplings and pan fried mandu dumplings. I just have to bring chili crisps next time I go for other dumplings. Of the trio, liked the pork ones the best. The shoestring fries were thin and crispy as you would expect but nothing special. They did have boba too but since we were having so many others that day, we did not want to use any stomach space for that here. There are not a lot of tables so would not come here with a big party to sit and eat there. But if you are doing takeout, maybe open the containers if you get the popcorn chicken or fries because the texture of those are very nice and crispy, and it would be a shame to have them lose those characteristics by keeping them in closed containers.

I was in the neighborhood and I walked by the shop. I've been in the mood for dumplings, so I decided to check it out. Staff is very very nice. I would all three flavors and I got a side of the garlic cucumbers. Everything was very, very good. Definitely satisfied my dumpling craving.

Great Taiwanese spot to get some quick lunch or dinner. Came here to catch up with a friend who has been here plenty of times so he knew what was good. We got the Yumpling Trio in order to be able to try all three flavors: Chicken Pork, and Veggie. They were all pan-fried and I really can't decide which one is my favorite as they all taste great! Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken reminds me of the popcorn chicken at the night market in Taipei and tastes just like it. It comes with a choice of a dipping sauce: Creamy Asian BBQ, Basil Aioli, Spicy Mayo (personal favorite), or Sweet Chili. If you're looking for an actual entree, they also sell Bian Dang, which is their rice bowls. I got their Fried Pork Chop Bian Dang, which I enjoyed. For the cold winter days, the Beef Noodle Soup is another entree option. The beef is super tender while the broth is refreshing. This comes with shredded mustard greens, bok choy, and a soy egg. Because I work in Midtown, I saw they were opening a location in the area. It's been under construction for quite some time, so hopefully they can get that opened up soon, which would make for an amazing lunch spot during work.

Must try: Popcorn Chicken and Pork Yumplings! Why: After a couple hours of playing pickleball I was hungry and my buddy recommended I try Yumplings - so glad he did bc it really hit the spot! My fav was the Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken, which was tender and juicy with a kick! Def coming back for more. The Pork Yumplings were also great and they garnished it well so it was packed with flavor and texture. The Jasmine Green Milk Tea was refreshing. They are able to adjust sweetness, ice, and toppings for Bubble Teas. Notes: Cute small location in LIC. Tables for dine in and they have a bathroom. The workers were all welcoming and helpful. Even met the owner/manager who was friendly. I appreciate their simple menu and can't wait to come back to try Rice Bowls and other sides like Lotus Root.
